Total DRP: How do we get there?

Total DRP: How do we get there?

You already know that complete disaster recovery planning (DRP) is better for your business and your data. It improves your profitability, secures your sensitive information and gives your clients reason to trust your business. But how do you take the next step, towards implementing your disaster recovery plan? Making the move from an old fileserver or backup tape system is time consuming and pretty technical. You need the expertise of Horn’s team to usher your data into total protection.

As a Datto backup services provider, Horn IT provides our clients with cloud-hosted DRP that’s guaranteed not to fail. It’s simple for you, and secure for your data.

So how do you get started?

Step 1. Order the Datto!

Give us a call at 1-888-429-5177 and let our sales team know that you want your data secured with a Datto backup system. We’ll take it from there, helping you to identify the right system for your needs and arranging for it to be delivered to one of our dedicated technical resources.

Step 2. Install and configure.

Once your Datto arrives, we’ll install and configure it, loading the backup-agent onto all of the Servers/VM’s you want backed up to ensure that nothing slips through the cracks.

Step 3. Perform complete backup

We will then run a complete backup of all data to the local Datto device.

Step 4. Take it to the cloud

Once all of your data has been backed up, we take a copy of that data and put it on an encrypted hard-drive that we ship to Datto’s data center in Toronto, where it is uploaded to the cloud. This allows us to get TB’s of data into the cloud without killing your bandwidth.

Step 5. Working in the cloud

Once your initial data backup has been uploaded, we point your local device to the cloud and start syncing the incremental changes. So as you work, all day, every day, your data is being secured onsite, and in the cloud, which means you have…

Step 6. Planning ahead

Now that everything is safe and secure, we’ll work with you to set a retention and backup schedule to ensure that you have the right layer of protection for your data. As your business grows or your needs change, we’ll be here to make sure that you’re covered every step of the way.

Moving your data to a secure, onsite and hosted backup system is simple with the help of Horn IT. It’s essential for your business security, so give us a call today, or fill out the form below and we’ll contact you to get started.
